We are planning our Second Annual Grade 8 LockIn as a Grande Finale to end up the year. Last year's LockIn was a huge success and became a highlight for most students.
Students, staff and parent volunteers will be "locked in" the school from 8:00 p.m. Saturday until 6:00 a.m. Sunday morning. Students will not be allowed to enter the building later than 8:00 p.m. (without pre-approval for special circumstances) or leave the building until 6:00 a.m. Sunday.
Some of the fun events we have planned are:
·NFL Obstacle Course, Robo Surf, Big Bout Boxing, Bubble
Hockey, Air Hockey
·Movies! Star Wars (3 versions), X-Men, Dr. Doolittle,
Big Mama
·Theatre Sports
·Board Games
·Nintendo
·Computer Lab Open
·Gym Games (floor hockey, etc.)
·Dance
·Picture Room to get friend pictures taken
·Snack bar will be open during the Lockin
·Pizza and drinks will be supplied at 12:30 a.m.
·Pancake breakfast will be served at 5:30 a.m., Sunday
morning (parents are welcome to join us for breakfast at 5:30
a.m. for a $2 donation)
Separate sleeping rooms will be set up for boys and girls although
we don't anticipate much sleeping going on! Students are asked
to bring a sleeping bag and pillow. No valuables including gameboys,
walkmans or money will be allowed in the building.
All school rules of dress and behaviour will be enforced. This is a celebration, but appropriate behaviour will certainly be expected. We are asking all parents to provide a phone number so you can be contacted to pick up your child at any time during the night should it be necessary due to inappropriate behaviour or illness.
There will be a charge of $25 per student to help cover the costs of the food and rental of Robo Surf, Big Bout Boxing, pizza, breakfast, etc.
If you wish your child to participate in this event please complete the form below and return it to the office along with $25 as soon as possible. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to call.
