Grade 6 Immunizations – May 2
Public health nurses will be offering vaccinations to students who are due for their second doses of routine vaccines for grade 6.
There are some outstanding grade 7 students who have signed consents from last year but missed receiving their vaccines; they will also be called down to receive vaccinations.
CDG Spring Market and Plant Sale – May 4
Chief Dan George PAC is excited to host another Spring Vendor Market on Saturday, May 4th from 10AM to 2PM. Come do some shopping while supporting some great local businesses and our school! Once again we will have plants that were grown by students at our school!
There will be raffles and a light concession!
***Admission is FREE***
We will be accepting donations for the Abbotsford Food Bank.

Staff Appreciation – May 6
The PAC wants to celebrate the amazing staff we have at CDG on Monday, May 6th with some delicious treats!

CDG Track Meet – May 8
The CDG Track meet is fast approaching and we need volunteers to help us make the day a success. If you are available Wednesday, May. 8th between 8:30am and 2:30pm and would like to help out please email Ms. Sullivan at colleen.sullivan@abbyschools.ca
Pizza Hot Lunch fundraisers
The Grade 8’s are fundraising for their end of year adventure days through a series of Friday Ricardos Pizza Days. The upcoming dates are May 3 & 24, and June 7. Available to order on SchoolCash. Please note the closing dates on orders will be the Wednesday prior.
Grade 8 Dinner Dance (June 14)
We are having a meeting for parents who wish to discuss this year’s Grade 8 Dinner and Dance themes for gym decoration. This meeting will be held on Tuesday, April 16 at 7pm in the Home Ec room. The dinner and dance will take place at Chief Dan George on June 14 from 5pm-9pm. If you are unable to attend the meeting, but would like to be involved, you’re invited to email Mme Bellavance at emanuelle.bellavance@abbyschools.ca and she will add you to the email list.
Reminder that registration for Summer Explorers 2024 (K-8) closes April 26/24.
This exciting three-week program offers inquiry-based exploration, skill-building, and deeper learning experiences for students.
Key Details:
- Registration Dates: April 8th to April 26th, 2024
- Program Dates: July 2nd to July 18th, 2024
- Time: 8:15 am - 12:00 pm(Grades K-4) / 8:45 am - 12:30 pm (Grades 5-8)
- Locations: Clearbrook Elementary, Godson Elementary, and Chief Dan George Middle School
Program Highlights:
- Focused literacy and/or numeracy instruction
- Meaningful exploration of students’ passions from the provincial curriculum
- Integration of recreational physical activity and Indigenous principles of learning
- A celebration or demonstration of learning for parents on July 18th
